Advanced Training
For the Advanced Athlete

At PreSeason Hockey Training, players receive an all inclusive program that provides them with advanced on ice and off ice development. Our program has been specifically designed to create a training environment in which competitive players can optimize their preparation for upcoming competitive tryouts.

On Ice Program
On-ice sessions and instruction focus entirely on the key puck related skills
of passing, shooting and stick handling in combination with the key skating skills. These fundamentals are delivered using advanced level drills and instruction.

Small area drills are used to increase repitition and the number of puck touches.

Large area drills are used to help players develop their ability to execute puck skills at top speeds over the full ice surface.

A key objective of each on-ice session is to ensure that a player's time with the puck is maximized. Our aim is to ensure that players have pucks on their sticks at all times. This approach will serve each player well in developing or renewing their "touch" with the puck.

Off Ice Program
The off-ice sessions are designed to help facilitate each player's individual conditioning and athletic development.
Each session will introduce players to a variety of conditioning, balance, agility, speed and strength activities, and each session will differ from the previous session so as to increase the number of activities and ideas that players can learn from and eventually use themselves.
Sessions will be high paced with appropriate work to rest ratios to optimize development of the various energy systems. Off ice sessions will also make use of a variety of training tools and equipment.
